At Wellington DJ hire we have a large range of different lighting effects available for hire or to add onto any DJ package. There're many different uses for using effect lighting at your event. We have dance floor lighting. Which uses at least two intelligent lighting effects to create changing colours and patters on the dance floor that change in time to the beat of the music. We have architectural lighting also known as "up lighting". We use uplighting to light up walls, door ways, columns, archways and any other architectural features in a room. Uplighting can completely change the look and feel of a room making the space feel more warm or exciting and interesting . We have Point of interest lighting. This is very simple lighting where we apply brightness or Colour to a specific Point of interest. These can include such things as birthday or wedding cakes. Props or signs or any other Item that requires special attention. We also have atmospheric effects, this include equipment such as a smoke machine, haze machine and bubble machine. The smoke and haze machine well drastically increase the effect all of the lighting. The haze from the smoke machine allows you to see the colorful 3D effects in the air from the lighting fixtures. Kinta FX
The Chauvet Kinta FX is fitted with 3 W LEDs to punch through nearly any ambient lighting or fog. Filling a room floor to ceiling with razor sharp beams, it delivers an output that surpasses those of much larger derby effects. DMX controllable, it also features exciting built-in programs. An optional IRC-6 remote is available for wireless control.

Nothing says party quite like a classic disco ball. Our 16-inch mirror ball hire in Wellington creates hundreds of sparkling light reflections that fill the room, making it the perfect centrepiece for 80s parties, weddings, birthdays and dance floors.
This hire includes the 16-inch mirror ball, a T-stand, a motor to keep it spinning, and two pin spotlights positioned on opposite sides to light the mirror ball and create reflections across the walls, ceiling and dance floor.
For larger venues or a more dramatic effect, we recommend upgrading to our CHAUVET Intimidator Spot 375Z moving head lights. They create brighter, colourful reflections and moving patterns that take the classic mirror ball effect to the next level, while the included pin spots are perfect for smaller venues.

1500W Strobe light with T-Stand
Create an intense strobe lighting effect with our powerful 1500W strobe light. In a dark room, the rapid flashes create a dramatic stuttering effect, making movement on the dance floor appear almost like a series of frozen moments. The effect is particularly impressive when used with other DJ and event lighting.
The strobe can be controlled through DMX using one of our lighting controllers, or adjusted manually using the controls on the light to set the brightness and flash speed.
Important: Strobe lighting produces intense, rapidly flashing light and may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Please check with your venue and guests before using this effect.

Take full control of your event lighting with the Chauvet Xpress 512S and ShowXpress lighting software. This compact USB DMX controller plugs into a laptop, allowing you to create and run professional lighting shows for weddings, parties, stage shows and DJ events.
If you're experienced with DMX lighting, you're welcome to hire the controller and program your own light show using ShowXpress or other compatible software such as QLC+.
Don't have any lighting experience? No problem. We can create and pre-program a custom lighting show for your event, so it's ready to run with minimal setup. Please get in touch for a quote for this service, as pricing depends on your requirements.

The controller includes sound active and automatic modes, making it a straightforward option for customers who want to control their lighting without using a computer.

SoundSwitch Micro DMX Interface
Create professional, music synced lighting shows with the SoundSwitch Micro DMX Interface. SoundSwitch software can automatically create lighting effects that match the music, making it a great option for DJs and event lighting setups.
The hire includes the SoundSwitch Micro DMX interface. You will need to provide a laptop with the SoundSwitch software installed, although a laptop may be available to hire if required.
Please note: Some understanding of DMX lighting and lighting control is required to use SoundSwitch. If you're not familiar with DMX, get in touch and we can help with your lighting setup.
